The Wakamiya-goten (Prince’s Residential Building) and Himemiya-goten (Princess’s Residential Building) are palaces for Imperial princes and princesses. Both palaces are part of the same structure, connected to the southwest side of the Higyosha building. The structure is divided by a corridor, with the Wakamiya-goten on the east side and the Himemiya-goten on the west side.
