A landscape of early spring is depicted with peach trees by a mountain stream and fresh green willow trees swaying in the breeze. The painting visualised the image of a Chinese poem called Shunkou (poetic scenery in spring) in the “Wakan-roeishu” (Anthology of Japanese and Chinese Verses for Recitation).
