The Gyoshin-no-ma, located in the center of Kōgōgū-tsunegoten, functioned as a sleeping chamber. Inside, there are 13 sliding doors and 5 wall-mounted panels, each depicting various seasonal flowers and birds in large compositions, illustrating the changing seasons. The artist, Gantai, was a prominent painter in Kyoto at the time. He also painted “Eight Views of Omi”, “Winding Stream Banquet”, and “Welcoming Gifted Horses at the Border” on the sliding doors of built-in shelves on the western wall.
