The Ichi-no-ma is located on the north side of the Kōgōgū Tsunegoten, positioned to the north of the Gyoshin-no-ma and to the west of the Okeshō-no-ma. On the east side of the room, there is a one-and-a-half tatami-wide alcove (tokonoma) to the north, and just south of it, a staggered shelf (chigai-dana) and a storage shelf with small sliding doors (fukuro-dana) are installed. "Seasonal Farming Scenes" painted by Hara Zaishō adorn the 12 sliding door panels and 6 wall panels of the alcove and fukuro-dana. On the small sliding doors of the fukuro-dana, two works by Goshun are featured: ”Snow Covered Pine Trees at Seashore ” and ”Distant View of the Seashore”.
