The Okeshō-no-ma (literally, “Room for Make-up”) is located on the north side of the Kōgōgū Tsunegoten, positioned to the north of the Gyoshin-no-ma and west of the Okozashiki-shita-no-ma. The room features a series of 13 panels, comprising 9 sliding doors (fusuma) and 4 wall panels, adorned with the artwork titled “Shinju” (New Trees) by Shiokawa Bunrin. The paintings depict a tranquil river, and verdant trees set against a gold-leaf background, creating a refreshing and elegant atmosphere.
